
I will not pretend that all the thoughts presented here are my own, many (most) are taken, distilled, and possibly modified from the ideas of Modders such as Duke Patrick (maker of many wonderful mechanical realism mods), Sotobrastos (AKA Oscuro, Project lead of Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, and a game design genius) and Delte (not a modder), creator of Delte's thread of Immersion mods. While there is nothing wrong with this, the problem is that companies that design RPGs gravitate towards making them more friendly toward console kiddies, resulting in worse mechanics, less depth, etc. Unfortunatly, most gamers would be classified as "Gamist" (We refer to them as Casual Gamers, or more derogatory terms such as Console Kiddie). theres this oen big waterfall where the dragon slithers out to defend his hoard of treasure! imagine the arena being covered with skeletal remains and old rusty weapons. Or how about an oblivion version of a classic tale? you've all probably have heard of siegfried/sigurd and his slaying of the dragon fafnir? You could make like this waterfall arena, that has like shallow water covering the ground. I was just thinking wouldnt it be pretty creepy if you were taking a dive in lake rumare, and out of the fog of the lake came this long necked beast from the deep! You guys have prob all seen or heard of loch ness or bigfoot or stuff like that.
